Dear Lugians,

On the 22th of April, the Technology and Society Congress (TaSC) will take place. TaSC is the annual congress for Industrial Engineering and Management students. The congress provides a broad view of technological developments and their impact on society. Due to COVID-19, the event will mostly take place online.

This year, the theme of TaSC will be Survival of the fittest, crisis management in a sustainable world. Especially during this extraordinary year, companies face challenges and have to adapt their strategies. In addition, government policies make sure companies continuously have to adapt in order to achieve regulations. How do these companies survive? What is their focus during this strange year?

During the morning program, multiple speakers with different backgrounds will express their views on the theme and show how they deal with this subject. In the afternoon, companies are given the chance to showcase themselves during business cases. These cases will give the students an outstanding chance to apply what they know in real-life situations and interact with the companies’ representatives in an informal way.

Further information regarding business cases and attending companies will be announced in the near future.

At the end of the event, we will give away a price for one of the participants! For specifics on the price, keep an eye on the online channels of TaSC during the next few weeks.

Free lunch will be delivered to your student house during the event.

You can unsubscribe until April 8th 12:00. Note: Keep in mind the consequences of absenteeism, which can be found here.
