From the 25th to the 27th of May, TBV Lugus will pay a visit to the SIEMENS Facility in Berlin. This factory plays a big role in the production of parts for electrolyzers, which is an important machine in the hydrogen industry. We will get a tour through the gas turbine factory and the electrolyzer factory on the first day and will work on a case on the second day.
The schedule will look like this:
Thursday 25th
- +/- 07:00 Departure from the Netherlands (by busses we will rent)
- 13:00 Arriving in Berlin
- 13:15 Lunch with introduction to the Berlin Facility
- 14:00 – 18:00 Program to be defined (e.g. introduction Siemens Enegry, intro Green Hyrdogen, factory tour)
- 18:00 Dinner with SIEMENS staff
- 20:00 End of Day 1
Friday 26th
- 09:00 – Introduction to workshop
- 10:00 – 12:00 Working in groups by students (cases)
- 12:00 – 13:00 Lunch
- 13:00 – 15:00 Working in groups by students (cases)
- 15:00 – 16:00 presenting results to management team of Berlin (or other critical but motivating SE groups)
- 16:30 End of the session.
Saturday 27th
- Time TBD: Departure to the Netherlands (this can be either with the rest of the group, but if you decide to stay for the weekend it is up to you)
During the trip, SIEMENS will provide us with lunch on both days and will provide us with dinner on the first night. The second night we are free to do whatever fun activity we want to do and free to have dinner wherever. The costs for any activity or dinner on this last day will most likely not be covered by Lugus, so keep that in mind. Accommodation for both nights will be provided by Lugus.
Siemens is mostly interested in Master students, but don't be shy if you want to subscribe as a 3rd year Bachelor student. Master students will be the first pick, then it comes down to which Bachelor student applied first.
Cancelling after the 10th of May 10:00 will result in a fine of €80! In case you are able to find a suitable replacement you won't be fined.
