Dear third year and master students,
This year, the ESTIEM committee has the opportunity to organize the ESTIEM TIMES Case Competition. During this day, groups of 3/4 persons will work on a case provided by the company Heijmans. Heijmans is a listed company that combines activities related to property development, construction & technical services and infrastructure in the fields of Living, Working and Connecting.
The day will start at 8.45 in Energy Academy with the introduction of the day, where you can have a cup of coffee/thee and the case will be presented. During the day, every group will get 3 hours to work on the case and make a presentation. After these 3 hours, the groups will present their solution to the jury. At the end of the day, the jury will choose the winning team. The winning team will possibly fly to another country in Europe for the semi-final of the TIMES Case Competition. The flight tickets for the semi-final will be paid by ESTIEM.
After the presentations and the announcement of the winner, we will enjoy some drinks in the Lugus Lounge.
You can subscribe together with a group you made yourself or alone. If you subscribe as a group, make sure that all of you subscribe on the lugus site and let at least one of the participants add the team formation in the comment section. If you subscribe alone, the committee will arrange a group for you.
Please also inform us in the comment section about your IEM schedule for 10th of December (lectures, tutorials, etc.), such that we can make a schedule for the day and avoid overlap. It is really important that most of you are available for at least 3 full hours to complete the case and present your solution.
