Meet the 24th Board!

Board '25-'26

The Lugus Board maintains overview of all the activities within the association. It oversees the committees, organises activities and represents Industrial Engineering and Management, Mechanical Engineering, and System & Control students on several occasions. In addition, the board plays an important role in the contact with the study, faculty and university.
The following text is a short introduction of ourselves.

Lode Brouwer von Gonzenbach | Chairman

Hello everyone! My name is Lode Brouwer von Gonzenbach, and I will be the chairman of TBV Lugus for the upcoming year. Three years ago, I left my home city of Utrecht and traded it in for the beautiful Groningen. Apart from Lugus, I enjoy endurance sports and try to squeeze in some time to play the piano. I also work at Grand Cafe Hooghoudt, located on the Grote Markt. When I am not at Zernike, on the run or behind my piano, you can find me over there, enjoying a beer on the sun-drenched terrace.
After switching from a different bachelor's, Lugus helped me get on my feet in the first year of IEM, and helped foster and grow friendships I value deeply. I want to help other lost souls find their footing and start their studies right, so I decided to sign up for the board.
If there is anything on your mind, please never hesitate to reach out. You can find me in the Lugus Lounge, 't Golden Fust,  or shoot me a text!

Bram Hof | Secretary

Hey, my name is Bram Hof and I will be the new Secretary of TBV for the year 25-26. I am a native to Groningen, Province and City, born and raised. Ever since my first year in Lugus I have enjoyed my time here, becoming a LuGuide and serving as the PR of the Experience Committee. However, this year I am taking a bigger step for the association and decided to sign up to become a board member. In my spare time, I like to hang out with friends, also in and around campus, and play volleyball and squash from time to time (definitely not professionally!).
I hope to see you all in our lounge and at all are events! I am always happy to have a little chat, so I can procrastinate and get to know everyone.

Willem Krijgsman | Treasurer

Hi everyone! My name is Willem Krijgsman, and I’ll be your treasurer for the upcoming year. I was born in Gouda and raised in the small Veluwe village of Elspeet. Three years ago, I moved to Groningen to study Industrial Engineering and Management, and I haven’t looked back since.
I enjoy playing sports like padel, and I cycle in and out of running and biking phases — usually balanced out by a few (or a few too many) drinks to make sure the next workout feels like a true test of character.
I’m always up for a board or card game, so hit me up if you’re in the mood to lay down some ‘takken’ of klaverjas in the lounge.

P.S. I’m still on the hunt for a klaverjas partner for the upcoming competition — so if you’re ready to lift that trophy with me next year, you know where to find me!

Koen Verhoeff | Commissioner of Corporate Relations

Dear all! My name is Koen Verhoeff, and I will be the Commissioner of Corporate Relations for the upcoming year! Originally from Oosterbeek, I moved to Groningen to study and quickly found my place in the vibrant student life here.
In my free time, I enjoy staying active through sports like running, cycling, rowing, or speed skating. When I’m not at university or working out, I like to enjoy student life in Groningen with friends — whether that’s relaxing on a terrace or playing a game of klaverjassen.
Before starting this board year, I wasn’t yet involved in Lugus, which makes me even more excited to get to know the association and all its members. Feel free to drop by the boardroom for a chat — I’m always happy to connect!
