PALV

The next company that will be giving a lecture at TaSC 2022 is PAL-V.

PAL-V is a dutch company developing the first ever commercial flying car. Their mission is to offer people the most flexible form of mobility and the highest sense of freedom while enjoying the ride. In 2020 PAL-V Liberty passed its road admission’s test, and is now approved for road usage, making it the world's first commercial flying car! They expect to hand over the first sold models to customers in 2023.

It is inscribed in our brain that when we see rotating blades, we think of a helicopter. However the PAL-V Liberty is not a helicopter. In flying mode the PAL-V Liberty is a gyroplane. The difference? The rotor of the helicopter is powered by an engine. The blades of the PAL-V Liberty are not electrically powered, they are powered by the wind so as long as there is airflow they rotate. They act like a continuously open parachute.

In their lecture you can expect to hear about how the innovative company PAL-V has got to where they are now, and how they expect to continue to grow and develop to achieve their goals!
